'La Paisible'

'La Paisible'

'La Paisible' is an 11" La De Da' Assemblage Art Bear. “Paisible” in French means peaceful, tranquil. She was named after Audrey Hepburn's Swiss countryside home. Her art canvas torso and foot pads have been heavily textured in many mixed media elements and then followed with layers of story telling assemblage: a cabochon cameo holding a black and white photo of Audrey, a bird, roses, lace, ribbon, chain, rhinestones, a tiny crystal and other textural elements. The artistic composition is very 'haute shabby'. She is created in a wonderful dense German mohair which has been meticulously hand painted in a watercolor like textile pigment medium in subtle shades for dimension and interest. The fur is left very soft, only stained, never hardened.
