'Princess Amelia de la Roseraie'

'Princess Amelia de la Roseraie'

'Princess Amelia de la Roseraie' is an 8" La De Da' Artisan Bear. She is one of three 'Roseraie Sisterhood' Bears. Amelia views the world through shiny black premium glass eyes with meticulously hand sculpted eyelids (upper and lower) accented with sculpted wet tear accents for a dimensional and soulful gaze. The clay is sculpted around the glass eye and into the mohair before the tear medium is added to build dimension custom to the head shape and eye contour. The pool of tears creates a life like element to the eyes and is a La De Da' signature design element. Her nose has also been hand sculpted and stained in multiple colors for a leather-like effect. The sculpting around the eyes creates a truly one of a kind expression to each bear as no two sculpts are ever alike. Her mouth is embroidered and treated to shine ever so slightly. 'Roseraie Sisterhood' are from two different patterns. The mohair is a new addition to my line, this mohair is more dense, fluffier, softer than my previous designs. Her legs/feet are a modified hockey stick design, long arms that hang gracefully and tight to her sides. She is created in a feathery plush hand dyed in various shades of a custom blended pink exactly from the color of a rose in our garden. The mohair was dyed to match a lovely prolific rose in our garden named 'Cecile Brunner' also known as the Sweetheart Rose. The actual rose is featured in the photographs. She has been treated and hand tinted/painted in multiple shades gray and clay. Her head is a center seam head design. Her face has been needle sculpted to create a slightly upturned nose featuring a cute profile. She is stuffed with poly, copper shot (belly) and the highest quality lavender buds, imported from Provence, France. Lavender is a La De Da' signature element added to all of my bears to enhance the "hug" experience with a gentle, therapeutic natural scent. Squeezing the buds helps release the scent, so you get a little bit of relaxation with every hug. She is a lovely weight, under one pound. Her ears are chubby and stuffed for a round full effect. Her arms, legs and head are disk jointed. She wears a hand stamped regal metal (removable) crown for a bit of la de da' flair. She can not stand on her own but can be propped. All of my designs are one of kind, no two bears are alike. From my heart to your hand....I hope the La De Da' Bears bring you a smile.
