'Isabella Joliepasse' a beautiful past bear

'Isabella Joliepasse' is a 14" mohair La De Da' traditional, beautiful past bear. Isabella is the first of this new La De Da' pattern/collection. Isabella views the world through premium black glass eyes with hand sculpted clay eyelids (upper and lower). The lids are painted in multiple colors to create depth, sparkle and interest. I also sculpt wet tear accents inside of the clay for a watery eye, dimensional and soulful gaze. The clay is sculpted on and around the glass eye before the tear medium is added to build dimension custom to the head shape and eye contour. Her nose has also been hand sculpted and stained in multiple colors for a leather-like effect. No molds are used, the clay work is freehand. Her mouth is painted. The paw pads have been treated with painting and sanding for a very aged, shabby look. Her design includes the classic hump on her back like bears of long ago. She is created in a scruffy, German mohair in off white which has been tinted in shades of clay and brown and sage green. She is stuffed with poly, copper shot (belly) and the highest quality lavender buds, imported from Provence, France. Lavender is a La De Da' signature element added to all of my bears to enhance the "hug" experience with a gentle, therapeutic natural scent. Squeezing the buds helps release the scent, so you get a little bit of relaxation with every hug. She is a lovely weight, 1 lb 9 oz. Her ears are chubby and stuffed for a round full effect. The arms and legs are disk jointed and her round head is wobble jointed for movement making her nod more for a shy, "pick me up" appeal. She wears mint and coffee color crinkled ribbons stamped with french text, topped off with a millinery coffee stained rose for a bit of la de da' flair. She can not stand on her own but can be propped. All of my designs are one of kind, no two bears are alike. From my heart to your hand....I hope the La De Da' Artisan Bears bring you a smile.
