'Grace Princesse des Perles'

'Grace Princesse des Perles'

'Grace Princesse des Perles' is a 10" (12" to the tip of her pearl tiara) La De Da' Princesse Bear. Grace views the world through premium glass eyes with hand sculpted and painted, clay eyelids (upper and lower) accented with sculpted wet accents for a dimensional and soulful gaze. The clay is sculpted around the glass eye before the "wet" medium is added to build dimension custom to the head shape and eye contour. Long, flirty doe eyed lashes are applied during the process to give the genuine look of growing out of the clay lid. Her nose has also been hand sculpted, then sanded and stained in multiple colors for a leather-like effect. Her petite mouth is painted. Her legs/feet are a modified hockey stick design, long arms that hang gracefully and tight to her sides and slight concave chest to resemble a long loved bear whose stuffing is a bit worn from many hugs. She is created in a matted German mohair, multi process/hand dyed in two tones of steel gray. She has been treated and hand tinted/painted in multiple shades of clay, gray. smokey blue and blush pink then blended for a watercolor effect around the eyes/cheek area and for an aged, vintage appeal throughout the body to resemble a bear from yester-year. Her head is a center seam head design. Her face has been needle sculpted to create a slightly upturned nose featuring a cute profile. She is stuffed with poly, copper shot (belly) and the highest quality lavender buds, imported from Provence, France. Lavender is a La De Da' signature element added to all of my bears to enhance the "hug" experience with a gentle, therapeutic natural scent. Squeezing the buds helps release the scent, so you get a little bit of relaxation with every hug. She is a lovely weight, under one pound. Her ears are chubby and stuffed for a round full effect. Her arms and legs are disk jointed and her large head is wobble jointed for movement making her nod more for a shy, "pick me up" appeal. She wears a pearl and sequined tiara and a strand of removable faux dripping pearls around her neck for a bit of la de da' flair. She can not stand on her own but can be propped as seen in the photo. All of my designs are one of kind, no two bears are alike. From my heart to your hand....I hope the La De Da' Bears bring you a smile.
