'Francille Fleurjolie' is a big (on the scale of the La De Da' Bears) 8" La De Da' Artisan Bear. She is number three of a newly designed pattern and in this larger size. Her legs/feet are a modified hockey stick design, long arms that hang gracefully and tight to her sides and somewhat of a concave chest to resemble a long loved bear whose stuffing is a bit worn from many hugs. She is created in a matted, sparse, cream and a pale sepia hand dyed mohair. She has been treated and hand tinted/painted in multiple shades of clay, sepia brown, bark, blush pink and moss green and a touch of hydrangea blue pigments then blended for a watercolor effect around the eyes/cheek area and for an aged, vintage appeal throughout the body. She is very well loved, plucked, weathered and worn to look like a bear from yester-year. Center seam head design. She is stuffed with poly, natural crushed minerals (belly) and lavender buds, imported from Provence, France. I am adding lavender to all of my bears for a distinct signature element and to enhance the "hug" experience with a gentle, therapeutic natural scent. Squeezing the buds helps release the scent....it is very mild and when mixed with the minerals, adds a nice feel, both scented and a little crunchy to the belly area.
She has a petite embroidered nose and painted mouth and eye detail. Her ears are "chubby" and stuffed for a round full effect. Her arms and legs are thread jointed and her head is wobble jointed for movement making her nod more for a shy, "pick me up" appeal. She wears a wonderful hand embellished ephemera bit of lovely textured ribbon with french text and lace, a glittered hat pin on her head for a bit of la de da' flair. She also wears a Marie Antoniette inspired glittered heart on her chest which is removable. She can not stand on her own but can be propped. She also comes with her vintage looking Parisian letter envelop pillow which matches her coloring perfectly.
All of my designs are one of kind, no two bears are alike. From my heart to your hand....I hope the La De Da' Bears bring you a smile. Merci!
