'Aurora Adorealis' a Beaded Body Bear

'Aurora Adorealis' a Beaded Body Bear

'Aurora Adorealis' is a 6.5" mohair La De Da' Beaded Body Bear. Aurora is the first of my new Aurora Borealis Beaded Body Bear designs. She views the world through premium black glass eyes with hand sculpted clay eyelids (upper and lower). I also sculpt wet tear accents inside of the clay for a watery eye, dimensional and soulful gaze. The clay is sculpted on and around the glass eye before the tear medium is added to build dimension custom to the head shape and eye contour. Her nose has also been hand sculpted and stained in multiple colors for a leather-like effect. Her petite mouth is painted. The legs/feet are a modified hockey stick design with long arms that hang gracefully and tight to her sides. She is created in a scruffy, combed out matted German mohair in off white which has been tinted in gray, and colors from the aurora borealis coating/shimmer: lavender, blue and blush pink then blended for a watercolor effect around the eyes/cheek area and for an aged, vintage appeal throughout the body to resemble a bear from yester-year. Center seam head design. Her face has been needle sculpted to create a slightly upturned nose featuring a cute profile. She is stuffed with poly, copper shot (belly) and the highest quality lavender buds, imported from Provence, France. Lavender is a La De Da' signature element added to all of my bears to enhance the "hug" experience with a gentle, therapeutic natural scent. Squeezing the buds helps release the scent, so you get a little bit of relaxation with every hug. Her ears are chubby and stuffed for a round full effect. Her arms and legs are disk jointed and her round head is wobble jointed for movement making her nod more for a shy, "pick me up" appeal. Her torso is made of mohair then embellished with a layer of faux clear aurora borealis finished crystals held together with an invisible filament, a wonderful texture in contrast to the limbs and head and so very "la de da'"! She wears a glittery tulle ribbon with the same shimmer colors held with three faux gray pearl hat pins for a bit of la de da' flair. She can not stand on her own but can be propped. All of my designs are one of kind, no two bears are alike. From my
