Isabelle le Gracieux - Parisian Shabby Bear

Isabelle le Gracieux - Parisian Shabby Bear

Isabelle le Gracieux is a 10.5" La De Da' - Parisian Shabby - Artisan Bear. Her legs/feet are a modified hockey stick design, long arms that hang gracefully and tight to her sides and slight concave chest to resemble a long loved bear whose stuffing is a bit worn from many hugs. She is created in a matted, sparse, hand dyed sepia, amber and harvest gold/brown tones. She has been treated and hand tinted/painted in multiple shades of sepia, bark, smokey blue and blush pink then blended for a watercolor effect around the eyes/cheek area and for an aged, vintage appeal throughout the body. She is very well loved, plucked, weathered and worn to look like a bear from yester-year. Center seam head design. Her face has been needle sculpted to create a slightly upturned nose and petite defined chin. She is stuffed with poly, copper shot (belly) and lavender buds, imported from Provence, France. I am adding lavender to all of my bears for a distinct signature element and to enhance the "hug" experience with a gentle, therapeutic natural scent. Squeezing the buds helps release the scent, so you get a little bit of relaxation with every hug. She is a lovely weight, just under one pound. She has a petite embroidered nose and painted mouth and eye detail. She has leather eyelids creating a bit of a "doe eye" appeal. Her ears are "chubby" and stuffed for a round full effect. Her arms and legs are disk jointed and her head is wobble jointed for movement making her nod more for a shy, "pick me up" appeal. She wears a wonderful hand dyed and aged bit of lovely crinkled hand made ribbon with three pearl pins and a faux vintage pendant with amber and clear stones along the brass colored frame circling an elegant lady/portrait around her neck for a bit of la de da' flair. She can not stand on her own but can be propped. All of my designs are one of kind, no two bears are alike. From my heart to your hand....I hope the La De Da' Bears bring you a smile. Merci!
